In Summer 2024, we applied for a HYPHA residency and we were successful. This means we got an empty shop to create in, in the heart of our community. We re-imagined this public shop space on Queen Street from September 2024 - September 2025.

This space was collaboratively curated and shared by PWSH and other creatives involved in Neurospicy Play Dates - creative wellbeing sessions for neurodivergent adults.

At the heart of bringing these two projects together in one space was meaningful inclusion, widening access to the arts and creative wellness for marginalised people. We always wanted to expand re-imagining public spaces beyond murals, and we did that within an empty shop, on one of Cardiff’s main shopping streets.

The space closed in September 2025, almost one year after we opened, we had a year of making, Creative Wellness and bringing people together, to explore some of the events we created, scroll through this page.

Queer Futures: Opening Night

Friday 1st August 2025, 5-10pm

Please join us for the opening night of the Queer Futures Exhibition, a collaboration between PWSH, Qunx and Dyddiau Du

We sent out an open call for anyone to submit pieces which portray the future they envisage would work best for them as an individual and/or society at large. We also opened it up to thinking about the word queer in its other sense (strange, bizarre, curious), allowing people to let their imaginations run wild. It's a difficult time for the queer community and we wanted to give people the space to depict the kind of reality they wish to construct and be a part of.

We look forward to unveiling the artwork and celebrating the abundant creativity within the queer community.
